About This Activity
Have you always wanted to learn how to sew? This is a 4-hour workshop will take you through the basics of how to use a sewing machine, including: Explanation of all of the parts of the machine Machine set up How to thread the machine How to thread the bobbin How the top thread and the bobbin thread work to make a stitch Tension - what is good tension and how/when you should adjust it Needle size and type - which to use when How to start and end a seam How to troubleshoot when things are not going well. Students will also make a simple and useful project.
