About This Activity
What is an art portfolio? What should you include in a portfolio? Whether you’re applying to an art program or submitting artwork for an exhibition, a portfolio is key in representing your creative vision and skills to others. This class will provide students with one-on-one guidance as well as structured exercises that explore composition, versatility/variety, and conceptual thinking. By the end of the 11 weeks, students will walk away with new portfolio pieces and a better understanding of how to identify their strengths and artistic voices. Teen Studio: Building a Portfolio is for artist ages 14-18. Students on all artistic journeys are welcome, regardless of whether they intend to apply for art programs with their portfolio.
