Half Day BumbleBee Day Campis an adaptive camp designed for children with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This program is intended for campers who benefit from increased structure, visual supports, predictable routines, and smaller staff-to-child ratios. This program is not designed for children whose main needs relate to significant emotional or behavioral disorders, or for campers who demonstrate frequent aggressive, self-injurious, elopement, or other dangerous behaviors that require a higher level of clinical support. BumbleBee campers participate in both adaptive and inclusive activities, joining their day camp peers whenever appropriate. All families must complete an intake to determine readiness, safety, and appropriate support.
