About This Activity
*Students in grades 6-8 may register for this academy as an “add-on” to Camp Rivermont. Taught by Rivermont band director and multi-instrumentalist and vocalist CJ Parker, this academy will help students understand music fundamentals and learn the keys to making hit songs. Students will write lyrics, learn about music production, and put together their own hit song. No prior music experience required. Cancellations and Refunds: Early Cancellations: A $25 per-week, per-camper fee applies to cancellations made six (6) weeks or more before the camp session start date. Late Cancellations: A $50 per-week, per-camper fee applies to cancellations made less than six (6) weeks before the camp session start date. No Refunds for Last-Minute Cancellations: No refund will be given for cancellations made within one (1) week of the camp session start date. Full refunds will be given if Rivermont Collegiate cancels a camp. Camps are not transferable to other participants. Session Changes: Campers may switch camps up to one (1) week before the start date of the original camp. Switching is only allowed if the requested camp has available spots.
