About This Activity
Description
As a responsible kid, there may be times when you are trusted to be home alone. In this class, we’ll cover the skills necessary for you to feel safe and confident about being home alone. You will learn valuable safety information as well as how to recognize, prevent, and prepare for emergencies.
Safety experts from the Bettendorf Police Department will stop by and share important information with all of our students.
Parents, please join your student for the last 10 minutes of class to hear about what they’ve learned!
Student Behavior PolicyOur goal at Bettendorf Parks & Recreation is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all of our participants in every program.
1. Participants can contribute to a safe and enjoyable environment by doing the following:-Show respect for the instructor by following directions and paying attention during instruction-Appropriately utilize the facility and class materials-Show respect for fellow participants-Abide by all required safety measures in place for the class
2. The following steps will be taken if participants display behaviors that do not abide by the behavior guidelines:-Gentle reminder and redirection-Moved seat assignment-Short time out from activity-Dismissal for the remainder of the program
*This is not an inclusive list of all offenses, and the instructor will use their discretion to maintain a safe environment for all participants. There will be no refund for participants removed from a program due to behavior issues.
