In this academy, you will learn culinary science while preparing your lunch! Week 1 will focus on eggs, pasta, and custard. Week 2 will teach about beans, rice, and beef. Week 3 is American food. The course instructor is Dr. Scott Wellnitz, Rivermont science teacher and resident foodie. All Summer Academies students must check in at the front desk in Becherer Hall. Students are not permitted to remain on campus if they are not actively attending a scheduled session. Loitering on campus between sessions is strictly prohibited. Failure to adhere to these policies may result in the student’s dismissal from the Summer Academy without a refund. Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring timely drop-off and pick-up of students. Summer Academy students driving themselves may park in the student lot on the right as you enter campus.
