Camp Dean Horsin’ Around Week 6A – CDHWk6A J, C, S | Entering grades 4-9 Camp Dean, Big Rock IL $565 ($540 before April 1, 2025) July 20-22, 2025 Drop-off Sunday, July 20: 4–4:30 p.m. Pick-up Tuesday, July 22: 4–4:30 p.m. Register by June 7, 2025 Attention all horse lovers! Would you like to travel to a stable and learn all about horses? This camp is for you! Our trained camp staff and equestrian experts at Tower Hill Stables are ready for you. Saddle up and let’s go! We can’t wait for you to meet the horses! While we wait for our trip, you will have the opportunity to try out all the camp activities Camp Dean has to offer. This session is for horseback riding beginners. Riding sessions will include an outing to Tower Hill Stables for a 45-minute riding lesson around an indoor arena. Campers will also learn horse etiquette and how to care for and groom a horse. Campers will be transported by camp staff to a professional equestrian facility vetted by GSNI. During this mini camp session, campers will earn their Girl Scout Junior Horseback Riding badge! Camper Care Package New in 2025! Girl Scouts when arriving at summer camp will receive a special Summer 2025 Camper Care Kit! They will be distributed upon arrival at camp to give them even more to do during their camp stay. Prepaid Trading Post Account You can pre-pay for your camper to have Trading Post money to spend on camp merchandise during their camp stay in $10, $20, and up to $50 allotments. Any unused money in your camper’s Trading Post account will be directed to our Campership Assistance program (not refunded) to increase access for future Girl Scouts to attend Girl Scout camp.
