We are going on an artistic adventure around the world in this Travel Around the World camp featuring Rhythm Drums! Campers will explore a new country each day, discovering how culture, history, and traditions inspire art across the globe. From the intricate paper folding of Japan through the art of origami, to vibrant mixed media projects inspired by patterns, symbols, and storytelling through multiple continents, campers will experience a wide variety of artistic styles and techniques. A special highlight of the week is our visit from Rhythm Drums on July 1st! Campers will participate in an interactive drumming session, learning about rhythm, instruments, and the cultural history behind them in a high-energy day. Camp includes art projects, games, snacks and outdoor playtime (weather permitting). Campers should plan on bringing their own lunch, a water bottle, a snack, and clothing appropriate for the weather and be ready to have fun and make art! Camp hours are from 9am-4pm. Please pre-register your child for this camp. Participants DO NOT need a BASE membership or to be enrolled in BASE after school programs. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes. If you have any enrollment questions, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@bigskyarts.org
