About This Activity
Get ready to mix it up in Mixed Media Madness! This creative week is all about experimenting with different materials, techniques, and layers to create unique works of art. Campers will explore how artists combine paper, paint, texture, and found materials to build artwork full of color, depth and personality. Throughout the week, campers will create a variety of mixed media projects, including smashbook-style journals to build on filled with drawings, patterns, and memories, as well as imaginative collage pieces made from magazines, papers, and unexpected materials into expressive works of art. Camp includes art projects, games, snacks and outdoor playtime (weather permitting). Campers should plan on bringing their own lunch, a water bottle, a snack, and clothing appropriate for the weather and be ready to have fun and make art! Camp hours are from 9am-4pm. Please pre-register your child for this camp. Participants DO NOT need a BASE membership or to be enrolled in BASE after school programs. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes.
