Creativity meets sustainability in Smart Art: Recycled Art! This week encourages campers to look at everyday materials in a whole new way as they transform reused and natural items into imaginative works of art. Campers will learn how to repurpose materials that might otherwise be thrown away, discovering how cardboard, paper scraps, packaging, and found objects can become exciting creative tools. Throughout the week, campers will experiment with a variety of projects, including building a collaborative cardboard sculpture as a group, creating textured collage pieces from recycled materials, and designing imaginative constructions from everyday objects. Nature will also be a source of inspiration as campers collect fallen leaves, sticks, and other natural treasures to incorporate into nature-based art. Camp includes art projects, games, snacks and outdoor playtime (weather permitting). Campers should plan on bringing their own lunch, a water bottle, a snack, and clothing appropriate for the weather and be ready to have fun and make art! Camp hours are from 9am-4pm. Please pre-register your child for this camp. Participants DO NOT need a BASE membership or to be enrolled in BASE after school programs. Any class payments above the suggested class fee (Take a Class/Give a Class, Help a Neighbor, Sponsor Materials) are tax deductible and will be acknowledged via email for tax purposes. If you have any enrollment questions, please contact Rebecca at rebecca@bigskyarts.org
