About This Activity
Description
This is a tentative program. Registrations will be accepted if it becomes official.
Developed in Japan in the early 1900s, Karate—often called "the way of the closed fist"—is a striking martial art that emphasizes powerful kicks, punches, and disciplined movement. Through the practice of kata (structured patterns of strikes, blocks, and footwork), participants build strength, agility, and mental focus. Karate offers an excellent workout while improving coordination, confidence, and self-defense skills. It’s a dynamic practice that sharpens both body and mind.
