About This Activity
Lesson 1: Learn to Knit (Garter Stitch) Students will learn to cast on and knit in garter stitch, a fundamental beginner knitting stitch. This series is designed to teach cumulative skills in a multi week format, each class can also be taken individually. You can also attend this lesson in place of our "Learn to Knit" workshop We ask that students bring materials with them to this class, materials can also be purchased before the lesson with a 10% off student discount. Materials: 50g of worsted weight yarn US 8 (5mm) needles (straight or circular) Prerequisites: None Goals: You will learn how to cast on and do the knit stitch
