About This Activity

Description

Hill House Little League's Majors division is welcome to players of all experience levels. Participants will practice once and play 1-2 games each week depending on any rain outs or re-scheduled games. All development curriculum will be designed by our professional staff to ensure the fundamentals are learned through fun, fast and active games.
Co-ed teams are created and led by Hill House baseball staff and volunteers. The season will consist of a regular season schedule of games, and finish with a playoff tournament to find our Majors champions! Mondays will be an optional skills clinic for all players to work on their game with all our coaches each week in a fun environment. Every team will also be guaranteed a number of exciting Inter-league games with the North End Baseball League.

    • Skip Date: 5/27

Season Structure:
  • Co-ed teams are created and led by Hill House baseball staff and volunteers.
  • The season will consist of a regular season schedule of games, and finish with a playoff tournament to find our Majors champions!
  • Mondays will be an optional skills clinic for all players to work on their game with all our coaches each week in a fun environment.
  • Every team will also be guaranteed a number of exciting Inter-league games with the North End Baseball League.
  • All players interested in summer travel or tournament play must be living or going to school within Hill House's boundary lines. Please contact our administrators for any questions or more information.

Important Notes:
  • Families are expected to have a guardian or caretaker remain on-site.
  • If families need to leave then they MUST CHECK-IN with Hill House Staff when dropping off, and SIGN-OUT when picking up.
  • Cancelled practices will not be made-up. Practices/clinics may be cancelled in favor of rescheduled games.
  • We are unfortunately unable to provide individual make-up classes if the participant is absent.
  • An administrative fee ($20) will be applied for excessive withdrawal requests after the start of the season.
  • By registering for this program, all Hill House families have checked off an acknowledgement upon enrolling and are thus expected to abide by our Code of Conduct—treating our staff, volunteers, and other families with respect. Violations will be reported, and multiple violations may result in action, including removal from programs.

Equipment Notes:
  • Gloves and baseball pants are required for Majors.
  • Jerseys and hats will be provided.
  • Once uniforms are provided, they are required at every game.
  • Personal equipment (bats, etc.) are welcome!
  • I have attached an equipment recommendation document below. This equipment isn’t required for this age group, but I wanted to steer you in the right direction if you were looking for baseball gear.
  • All other needed equipment or materials will be provided by Hill House.

Cancellation & Make-up Class Policy:
  • Should a session ever be cancelled, you will be notified via email and text.
  • If our playoffs are disrupted by rain, we will cancel our all-star celebration session and reschedule our playoffs then.
  • The status of programs will always be confirmed on our Updates Page, and any changed dates for the program can be monitored by checking our Spring Athletics Schedule.
  • If games are cancelled due to inclement weather or the instructor being unavailable, we will do our best to reschedule them, but we will not extend the season unless absolutely necessary.
  • Please note: make-up classes will only be offered for cancelled sessions and not for any absences/personal conflicts/voluntarily skipped weeks during the season.

Notes on Awards:Like all Hill House programs this league puts fun first, but it is still competitive. We believe this format helps invest and excite players, while also teaching them what it means to be part of a team. As a result this league does not feature participation trophies, and instead rewards the league champion team and a few individual players across the league with trophies. We use these trophies to celebrate achievement, but more importantly to inspire all the players in the league to keep practicing and working towards the fun goals their peers have reached. We highlight players with great work ethic, sportsmanship, and commitment to improve, because we want to motivate all our players to model those traits and become the best they can be.
