Description
What happens in the very first line of a novel—and what is at stake when it is translated? This workshop explores the art and challenges of literary translation through a close study of opening lines from iconic French and Francophone novels. Open to participants of all levels of French. A solid command of English is essential. No prior translation experience is required.
