General Policies
Students enrolled in the Summer in French for Teens program MUST have a minimum level of A1+/A2 in French to register. A placement test is REQUIRED before registration. No refunds will be issued for cancellations related to registrations submitted without a placement test evaluation if the student does not yet have the required level to attend the program.
For cooking weeks, unfortunately, we cannot accept students with food allergies or dietary restrictions. No refunds will be issued for cancellations related to allergies or food restrictions.
Discounts (registrations received before March 31, 2026):
Early Bird Discount: Registrations received by end of day March 31, 2026, will automatically receive 10% off the total amount at checkout.
No discounts may be processed after March 31, 2026.
Terms and Conditions of Registration
Registration is complete upon full payment only.
Withdrawals, Refunds and Credits (Per week per child)
All cancellations must be received in writing in the form of an email to youthprograms@frenchlibrary.org. Withdrawals or refunds cannot be made by telephone. Please note that being absent from class does not constitute withdrawal notice.
Refunds or credits will be processed according to the following schedule:
-At least 5 weeks before the course start date: Full tuition refunded, minus a $50 cancellation fee per week per child.
- Less than 5 weeks before the course start date: 50% of tuition refunded or credited, minus a $50 cancellation fee per week per child.
- 3 weeks before the start of the course (or after the first week begins): No refund or credit will be issued.
- No credits, discounts, make-up or refunds for missed classes. If your child is unable to attend class, we ask that you please call us so that we can let their teacher know.
The FL/AF Boston reserves the right to cancel classes, adjust curriculum, or change teachers at any time during the session. Classes are typically cancelled due to insufficient enrollment (a minimum of four enrollments is required to open a class). If your child is registered in a class that is canceled, you will be notified by email or telephone within 1 week of the start of the relevant week and given the option to transfer your child to another week or to be fully refunded. Please note that transfers depend upon availability.
By enrolling your child in Summer in French, you give the French Library permission to take photos of your child and understand that the French Library may use these photos for promotional purposes.
