About This Activity
Lesson 3: Textured Knits and Reading Patterns/ Charts (Diamond Brocade) Add texture to your knitting repertoire by learning diamond brocade, a stitch that combines basic knit and purl stitches to create a raised symmetrical diamond pattern. This series is designed to teach cumulative skills in a multi week format, each class can also be taken individually. We ask that students bring materials with them to this class, materials can also be purchased before the lesson with a 10% off student discount. Lesson 3: Textured Knits and Reading Patterns/Charts (Diamond Brocade) Materials: 50g of worsted weight yarn US 8 (5mm) needles (straight or circular) Prerequisites: You must know how to cast on, knit and purl, and bind off Goals: You will learn how read a pattern and apply charts to your knitting
