About This Activity
Jr. Zookeepers: Are you interested in being a zookeeper, biologist, conservationist, or veterinarian? Join us for a week of high-level curriculum and activities designed to provide campers with the opportunity to explore the different roles required to keep animals happy and healthy at the zoo and in the wild. Campers will participate in discussions and activities with professionals from Zoo New England to get an in-depth look at what it takes to work at a zoo while also discussing the different paths folks can take to get there. Jr. Zookeeper campers may be in behind the scenes spaces, get up close and personal with different species, shadow zookeepers, and help care for animals. Please note, curriculum repeats. This camp must comply with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and be licensed by the local board of health.
