About This Activity
Description
Players in grades 6 to 8 celebrate the love of the game in this youth volleyball league. Spikers focus on fine tuning the game, practicing teamwork, and building on fundamental skills like spiking, setting, blocking, and serving through fun drills. This league is open to all genders. Teams practice once per week and play games on the weekend, including home games and games against other Ys in the region. All teams are led by volunteer coaches. Family involvement, whether as a team volunteer, cheerleader, or coach, is a key to success. Each player gets a Y jersey to wear on and off the court.
