On Mondays, our middle-age group gathers for a day designed to support the unique developmental stage between childhood and adolescence. Students ages 10–14 are invited to take on deeper challenges, strengthen their independence, and build meaningful connections with peers as they explore the land together. Students engage in Kiva’s Adventure Quest skill tracks, developing practical wilderness and creative skills through hands-on projects such as tracking, herbalism, fire skills, shelter building, and nature crafts. At this stage, participants take on more complex projects and greater responsibility, collaborate with peers, deepen their skills, and begin to step into leadership within the community with guidance and support from mentors. Like our mixed-age programs, students will participate in a weekend adventure day each semester. In the spring, this experience will extend into an overnight camping experience, offering a special opportunity for students to deepen their connection to the land, practice outdoor living skills, and prepare for the more immersive wilderness experiences offered in our teen program. This offers a taste of more in-depth exploration, building anticipation for future adventures. Thanksgiving Break: week of 11/23/26 Winter Break: We will have 5 weeks off for winter break starting on 12/21/26 and returning on 1/25/27 Spring Break: week of 3/15/27
