Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is geared towards anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a course completion card, valid for two years. Please contact your employer to ensure that you are selecting the correct course. This course will cover adult, child, and infant CPR. Class will break one-hour for lunch; lunch not provided. Anyone 13+ are welcome to register for this class. Satisfactory completion of a skills-based test is required for certification cards. Note: class not eligible for discounts. Course fee includes certification. Certification provided by the American Heart Association. COVID-19 Precautions: The American Heart Association has amended its certification requirements temporarily for enhanced safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes the suspension of demonstrating breathes on mannequins for CPR certification. The course will cover the complete content; however, students will omit giving breathes during practice. CommEd will continue to closely monitor pandemic conditions in our area and make appropriate determinations regarding in-person classes in the interest of public health and safety. This class is subject to location change and cancellation. If CommEd cancels class, a full refund will be issued. Additionally, CommEd requires all participants to wear a mask/facial covering. Social distancing measures will be enforced. A maximum of ten (10) participants has been determined for this class to safely be held. CommEd also reserves the right to conduct contactless temperature checks prior to the start of class.
