About This Activity
Learn to sew while creating a fun and practical cleaning tool! In this beginner-friendly class, students will make a reusable “turtle mop”—a soft, floor-friendly fabric tool designed to wipe up small spills, dust, and kitchen messes using your foot. This eco-friendly project is a great alternative to paper towels and disposable cleaning products. Students will learn sewing machine basics, fabric cutting, and simple construction techniques while creating a functional item they can use every day. No prior sewing experience is required.
