The Y Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program prepares teens ages 13 and up to become future camp leaders through hands-on experience, skill-building workshops, and guided mentorship. The 4-week curriculum focuses on leadership, communication, safety awareness, leading games and activities, and professional responsibility. Additionally, CITs will become CPR & First Aid Certified, attend field trips, and participate in camp fun! What's Included: -CIT Shirt -Daily snack -Field Trips (Extra Fee of $30 for White Water Rafting) -American Red Cross CPR & First Aid Certification -Leadership Training -CIT Handbook -Child Safety and Appropriate Boundaries -Emergency Action Plan -Letter of Recommendation (if program is successfully completed) -End of Session Party! MANDATORY 1 week training June 22nd-25th, 2026. CITs will choose 3 additional weeks between June 29th and August 21st to complete the program. Extra weeks can be added for additional costs. Dates are flexible, but must be communicated to the Camp Director.
