About This Activity
Stable Hand Program This program will be more in depth manner on the care of horses, more than the horsemanship lesson series cover. There will be NO riding of horses. Stable hands will learn how to feed depending on the horses' individual requirements, organize and clean tack & equipment, maintain and repair fencing and arenas, remove manure, and safe handling and proper use of ranch tools. Stable Hands will also have the opportunity to learn about the care of other farm animals. There will be a strong emphasis of life skill development including responsibility, team work, communication, etc. Rubber boots and work gloves are recommended for participants. Participants will need to pack a lunch and snack. Time: 10:30am-1pm Dates: 7/1, 7/8, 7/15
