In our intermediate half day horsemanship lesson series, participants will spend time in the saddle, on the ground in horsemanship and crafting and journaling. Our priority is to provide a safe, fun and educational experience for all of our riders and horses. Participants must have instructor approval or currently be enrolled in CRE Intermediate Horsemanship Classes. Riders should be confident riding independently at a walk/trot and working on learning to lope/canter. This series is designed to help prepare riders for our summer intermediate weekly lessons. If you are new to the area and the rider has previous horse experience please reach out to CRE to discuss previous equine experience and to schedule a private lesson assessment. All participants receive a t-shirt with tuition. All sessions include a shirt, journal and take home crafts. We have stickers, extra shirts, water bottles and hats available for an additional cost. Those participating in both sessions will need to make sure to pack a lunch and additional snacks/water for the afternoon. "Showdeo": Event where participants can demonstrate what they worked on during the lesson series for parents. Morning Session Series Showdeo begins at 12:00 PM on 3rd day of lesson series. The Stable Hand program is held after the lesson series. Participants will have time for lunch and then participate in afternoon chores around the barn: this may include pen cleaning, graining/feeding of all of the CRE animals, horse care, games and crafts. Participants are able to participate for a top team and top wrangling awards for those that participate in all three days.
