Tampa Bay HEAT Homeschool-Street Hockey Classes My name is Nancy Nowakowski, a retired physical education teacher from Hillsborough County Schools. I will be assisting with Tampa Bay HEAT Homeschooling to offer Street Hockey classes. Purpose: Street Hockey is a fantastic sport that promotes physical fitness, teamwork, and personal growth. Who: Girls and Boys Grades/Ages:3rd, 4th, 5th ages 8-11 When: Wednesday afternoon from 2:00-3:30 PM Where: Saladino Park 1705 Bryan Rd, Brandon, FL 33511 Start Date: January 14, 2026 January 21, 2026 January 28, 2026 February 4, 2026 February 11, 2026 February 18, 2026 Mandatory Requirement: Closed-Toe Shoe (Tennis Shoe), NO CROCS!! Street Hockey is one of the fastest-growing sports in the US, especially in Florida, where access to ice hockey is not that easily accessible. It keeps kids moving, teaches real technical skills, and supports their overall physical fitness in a way that feels more like fun than a workout! Fundamental skills of hockey will be taught and practiced through drills and scrimmage games, along with what it means to be a team player and a good sport on and off the court. Participants will be EXPECTED to demonstrate RESPECT, RESPONSIBILITY, and SAFETY! If not, they will not be allowed to participate!
