Teacher: Shelley Whisenant This Financial Literacy course will include the following topics: the basics of money, setting financial goals, budgeting, saving and investing, understanding credit, insurance, taxes, financial institutions, and choosing a career. Textbook: Dave Ramsey’s Foundations in Personal Finance. There will be a separate course textbook fee of $30 payable to the instructor. Before kids, I started my teaching career as a Spanish teacher in public school and as I moved into my role as a homeschool mom, somewhere along the way I added teaching Math and English as a Second Language classes. I have taught all levels of math through Algebra II and all levels of Spanish through AP Spanish and Dual Enrollment in community college.
