Entrepreneurship: Start and Run Your Own Business! This class is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of entrepreneurship! If you've ever dreamed of starting your own business, this is the class for you. We’ll explore the essential skills and knowledge needed to become an entrepreneur, helping you learn how to develop, launch, and grow a successful business. Throughout the course, students will: Find a Business Idea: We’ll guide you through the process of brainstorming and discovering unique business ideas. You’ll learn how to think creatively and spot opportunities. Pick the Right Business: Not all businesses are the same! Learn how to choose the type of business that fits your skills, interests, and goals. Market Your Business: One of the most important parts of running a business is getting the word out. You’ll learn basic marketing strategies to attract customers and grow your business. In class, we will: Brainstorm Ideas Together: Get involved in group brainstorming sessions to come up with real business ideas. Work on Practical Skills: We’ll cover important topics like business planning, setting goals, and how to create a simple budget. Create a Business Plan: Students will learn the basics of writing a business plan, which is a roadmap for starting and running a business. Some of the key concepts we’ll explore include: How to decide what kind of business to start How to market your business to customers The basics of budgeting and managing money What makes a business successful and how to handle challenges Requirements: Students should have middle school skills in reading, writing, and math, as these will be needed to complete activities, write plans, and understand financial concepts.
