Basic algebra concepts such as variables, simplifying expressions, solving for the unknown, negative numbers, and roots and radicals will also be introduced. Problem solving, estimation and the communication of mathematical ideas are an integral part of the course. Pre-Algebra will prepare the student for high school Algebra upon successful completion. There will be weekly homework in this class.
