About This Activity
Forager Camp is all about honing wilderness skills, life skills, and gaining confidence through greater independence. Foragers don’t just start fires they’ll cook on them as well, harvest & prepare wild edibles, make rope and craft tools, tie knots, navigate in the wilderness, climb rock, and learn many other essential skills. We’ll also play our favorite outdoor games for a healthy dose of unmatched fun. Foragers stay for a Thursday night closing campfire and wilderness campout. Foragers will have time during the week to build their shelter for the campout Thursday night, but Campers are encouraged to have a personal hammock or tent weather dependent. We have Canvas Tents setup for them at their very own campsite called “Oak Cascade” where they share the land with some of the oldest growth Oaks on the mountain next to a fresh water spring fed creek cascading down the mountain. Or a cabin special for foragers. We pick what fits best for our week. Campers should plan to bring a bathing suit and towel each day. Foragers Camp runs Monday – Friday, from 8:45am to 4:15pm. Please bring masks, water, snacks, change of clothes, swim gear, and a bag lunch each day. Early drop at 8:30am and late pick up at 4:30pm available for $50/wk.
