Intermediate Climbing and Hiking
Ages 8 - 15Learn new skills including rappelling, intermediate and advanced climbing techniques, and much more! To register for this program, participants must have attended a Beginners Climbing Camp within the past year or must receive approval from a Climbing Wall Instructor or the Outdoor Recreation Coordinator, Jane Hinkson.
Indoor climbs will be hosted on our climbing wall and outdoor climbs will be held on Thursday, at a favorite local crag. ALL campers will hike our local trail system and will play games and learn Leave No Trace Principles and Breckenridge history as well as the local flora and fauna.
Make it a full-day camp with Lunch Bunch! Take a look at our morning camps and afternoon camps AND sign up for Lunch Bunch.
Financial assistance may be available through the Bentley Bedker Scholarship. Applications for the Bedker Scholarship are located at the Front Desk of the Breckenridge Recreation Center. Escalada y senderismo de nivel intermedioEdades: 8 a 15 años
¡Aprende nuevas habilidades, incluyendo rápel, técnicas de escalada intermedias y avanzadas, y mucho más! Para inscribirse en este programa, los participantes deben haber asistido a un campamento de escalada para principiantes en el último año o contar con la aprobación de un instructor de escalada o de la coordinadora de actividades al aire libre, Jane Hinkson. Las sesiones de escalada en interiores se realizarán en nuestro rocódromo y las de exteriores tendrán lugar los jueves en una popular zona de escalada local. Todos los participantes realizarán senderismo por nuestros senderos locales, participarán en juegos y aprenderán los principios de No Dejar Rastro, la historia de Breckenridge, así como la flora y fauna local. ¡Convierte tu experiencia en un campamento de día completo con el programa de almuerzo!
