Has your child completed several classes of our ice-skating lessons and is ready for the next step in the skating world? Enroll him or her in our SHOWTIME program for a chance to perform in front of an audience. The weekly SHOWTIME class focuses on learning and practicing a choreographed group number for the Winter Ice Show, held Saturday, December 13.
Skaters perform with other skaters of similar skating levels, so the group skating routines are a great way to meet other skaters and to have fun! Students will be split into two groups based on skills. This program consists of 15 weeks of choregraphed instruction plus the winter ice show rehearsal on 12/12/25 and the final performance in the winter ice show on 12/13/25 at 6pm. Final week after the ice show are for learning new skills. This program runs a total of 17 sessions on the ice.
Skaters enrolling in SHOWTIME should have basic skating skills and either be participating in ice skating classes or taking private lessons to continue to improve their skating skills.
Students skate with an instructor to learn new skating skills and choreography. Skate rental, helmet and snack included in program fee. Please be sure that your child dresses accordingly to be skating on an ice rink. This includes socks, snow pants, jacket, hat and gloves.
Participants are expected to attend the majority of the class dates, as it is very important to be present when learning and practicing choreography. Participants must also plan to attend the skate show dress rehearsal on Friday, December 12th. The Ice Show will take place on Saturday, December 13th.
Cost is $360. Same cost as all 3 Wednesday Afterschool sessions.
No class November 26th.
NOTE: Costumes are TBA. Additional fees may be required depending on costume chosen (no more than $20). Skaters are expected to attend the majority of the class dates, as it is important to have all group members present while choreography is learned and practiced. In addition, skaters are required to attend the shows dress rehearsal held Friday, December 13th.
Participants pick up will take place in the upstairs meeting room promptly at 5:15pm.
Transportation is provided from Upper Blue and Breckenridge Elementary. Breckenridge Elementary students will walk from school to the ice rink with a Breckenridge Ice Rink staff member or coach. Students not attending Breckenridge schools are encouraged to participate but need to provide their own transportation.
