About This Activity
We are going to again team up with Brecksville Youth Football to offer our communities a top notch Spring Flag program for ages PreK - 6th grade. The goal is to have fun, have kids play multiple skill positions and develop stronger fundamentals for the Fall. We will run five sessions on Sundays April 6, 13, 27, May 4 and Friday night, May 9. Coaches may elect to have an optional mid-week practice at their discretion. Register for the grade the player is currently in. However, Kindergarteners who will be advancing to 1st/2nd flag football in the fall are eligible to play in 1st/2nd in the spring. it will be 5-on-5 or 6-on-6 no offensive or defensive line play where all players are eligible to receive a pass. Spring Flag is open to Independence residents only. Rookie Flag PreK/K - Note: must be in Pre-K or K for 2024-2025 school year - This is mostly skills work focusing on getting our youngest players familiar with the basic of football. 1st/2nd grade Flag -Kindergarteners who have completed our Rookie Flag program are eligible to play up at parent and Board of Director discretion, based on demonstrated ability of the child to follow directions at a 1st/2nd grade level. -Five flag football games on the Brecksville and Independence high school turf 3rd/4th Flag -As of 2024/2025 school year -Five flag football games on the Brecksville and Independence high school turf 5th/6th Flag -As of 2024/2025 school year -Five flag football games on the Brecksville and Independence high school turf Times: Sunday games will be 1:00, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00 .
