About This Activity
Come join our "HERD" for The Center for Women's 20th Annual 5k Run/Walk on December 6th, 2025 at 9:00AM.
The Center for Women's 20th Annual Reindeer Run 5K takes place just off main street in Brevard with a scenic route. It is the same course as last year. It begins and ends at Grace Brevard Church. There are slight inclines and descents throughout the race and is perfect for running or walking. Pre and post race snacks, homemade baked goods, hot drinks and water. There will be an awards ceremony after.
Stay around Brevard after the race for a Christmas parade then Light Up the Night in downtown Brevard! An evening of wonder, featuring twinkling lights, illuminated snowflakes and beautifully decorated storefronts. There is an official tree-lighting ceremony, live music, performances, ice skating, hayrides, food trucks, festive downtown shopping and more. Stay around for an evening of free family fun!

Join our "HERD" and dress your best as a reindeer! Prizes will be given out the for 1st and 2nd place for the most creative/crazy Reindeer costumes.
This is a dog friendly course, however, no dogs allowed in the church.
This event is hosted by The Center for Women. Our goal is to bring awareness to the community and to raise money to continue providing free services including pregnancy tests, ultrasounds, counseling and baby supplies and more. All proceeds from this event benefit the families in Transylvania County,
The race begins downtown at 9:00 at Grace Brevard Church. 55 E Jordan St., Brevard, NC 28712.
Awards for overall M/F finishers; Top three Male/Female in age groups 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & over. 10 & under get participation medals.
Parking will be available at Grace Brevard, The Center for Women, 134 S Johnson Street, Brevard, First Baptist Church, 94 S. Gaston Street, Brevard.
Dress appropiate for the weather.
Event details and schedule:
7:30 am On-site registration and check-in for registered runners and walkers inside Grace Brevard Church foyer. Follow the signs and greeters will be outside for assistance.
8:30 am Check-in & on-site registration ends.
8:45: Music, the National Anthem and sing along to Rudulph the Red Nose Reindeer.
9:00 am Race starts!
Packet pick up will be the morning of the race.
Homemade baked goods, coffee, tea, water and refreshments will be available pre and post race.
Don't forget to bring your signed waiver, if you have not signed it online.
