About This Activity
Our Big Week camp is on the move! Through three field trip days, we explore many different ecosystems looking for as many bird species as possible along the Front Range. We'll explore the short-grass prairie--seeking species small large that live within our most rapidly decreasing bird community. In the foothills of the Front Range, we look for our vivid and hardy species that thrive along flowing snow-melt fed creeks. Along the South Platte, we'll talk about the species that we see in-between who thrive on the waterway that connects Denver to the greater watershed around us. Exact field trip locations change year to year, based on availability, weather, and safety. Registration closes when session fills or 2 weeks prior to first day of camp.
