Scratch 3.0 is a block-based programming language developed by the MIT Media Labs. With this program, campers can code games, animations, music, art and much more. As campers create and share objects, they will practice thinking creatively and learn to reason systematically and work collaboratively. Students will also learn about circuitry when they experiment with MaKey MaKey, an external circuit board to create interactive art. In this class, we will create interactive games, animations with dialog, interactive art and more! Scratch is a true beginning programming language that is not only fun, but a bridge to later coding such as Arduino and Java.
