Andy will begin with throwing demos, working up to centering and throwing about 7 lbs. We'll begin with bottles and explore other tall forms. Andy will demo some texturing techniques for those interested in pushing limits (your own and the clay's!). Participants are encouraged to bring whatever clay body they are most comfortable throwing, as well as a form we might use for inspiration (completely optional). A few suggested tools to bring are: -The Basics: A Rib Tool, Wooden Knife, Sponges, and Pin Tool - Sponge on a Stick (or a chopstick +Sponge+ Rubber Band to make your own!) -Throwing Stick; helpful but not required - Squiggly Wire is suggested for adding texture, Andy will have some available for use.
