About This Activity
3 weeks Level: Beginner This 3 day workshop guides students through a structured, step-by-step approach to building strong, accurate portraits. Emphasis is placed on understanding proportion, anatomy, and the underlying structure of the head, allowing students to develop a solid foundation before refining surface detail. Through focused exercises and sustained studies, students will learn how to achieve greater realism and a convincing likeness, while also developing control over value, edges, and mark-making to create portraits that feel both precise and expressive.
