About This Activity
Thursday Evening Kids Class Instructor: Cat Diaz 5 Weeks, May 15th - June 12th, 4-6:30pm. Thursdays, 4:00pm-6:30pm This class is an all-level pottery class for kids, teens, and parents! If interested, Parents are welcome to take the class with their child, but both must be registered. For beginning students Cat will focus on the fundamentals of wheel throwing. In class, students will learn how to throw cylinders, bowls, plates, and vases! For those teens that have more experience in clay and know what they would like to focus on, the class is less structured in order to give the student independence as they work through their particular vision in clay. Cat will be present for questions and for structural advice and technique, as well as for advanced demonstrations. The kids/ teens class at Feet of Clay will give the young inspired ceramicist an inside look at a working pottery studio and its many working artists. This program is great for young potters looking to develop more skills outside of a school setting. Classes include clay, firing, and instruction. Used tools and a bucket will be provided with class. If you would like your own new tool kit, you can purchase one with registration for $25.
