8 wks *No class Apr 25 + May 2 This photography class empowers teen photographers to create a compelling documentary photo project about a community or concept of personal significance. Through immersive exploration and hands-on guidance, students will learn the history of documentary photography while engaging in discussions around the ethical considerations of this genre. They will cultivate the skills and vision necessary to propose and execute a compelling documentary photo project.Teens must have basic knowledge of camera functions. Participants must provide their own cameras and computer devices for editing. DSLRs are recommended. For full session classes (8-10 weeks), registration remains open until the third class meeting. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or prorated tuition.
