About This Activity
8 weeks Level: Beginner In this introductory class, you will be introduced to the fundamentals of both wheelthrowing and handbuilding. The teacher will provide you with step-by-step instructions and demonstrations to help you create unique clay objects. Demonstrations include cups, vases, plates, lids, throwing off the hump, and more. All levels will learn about decorating techniques. This class is for students who have not taken any previous pottery & wheelthrowing classes. Ceramic work will be fired and ready to take home 6-8 weeks after the session ends. You will be contacted by a staff member when the work is ready for pickup For full session classes (8-10 weeks), registration remains open until the third class meeting. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or prorated tuition.
