About This Activity
INSTRUCTOR: TAC STAFF After School Classes (ages 5-10) are hands-on classes in the textile arts. Our program runs from 3pm–5:45pm* Monday through Wednesday in Brooklyn. Class runs in 8-week cycles, rotating through Weaving, Printing & Dyeing, Felting & Soft Sculpture, and Sewing & Fashion. You can try one or all four! *3-4pm is snack and homework time as students get picked up and dropped off. Class starts at 4pm. SEWING & SOFT SCULPTURE: Students explore soft sculpture, creating stuffed animals and three dimensional objects working with sewing patterns and creating their own sewing patterns and fabric of their own design. This class will utilize hand sewing, machine sewing, felting, and mixed media textile techniques. Pick up is available at the following schools for the days specified: PS 321: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday PS 372: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday PS 133: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday PS 39: Tuesday, Thursday PS 118: Wednesday, Thursday PS 32: Monday Please note school pick-up is subject to change based on the 2025/26 individual school policies.
