About This Activity
The Outside Play after school supports physical development, helps strengthen gross motor skills, and promotes overall well-being. It also encourages social interaction, cooperation, and creativity all while giving children the opportunity to play, relax, and unwind after a structured day. We spend time outdoors in a variety of weather conditions whenever it is safe to do so. As we often say in Germany, "Es gibt kein schlechtes Wetter, nur schlechte Kleidung" ("There is no bad weather, only bad clothing"). Therefore, we ask families to provide appropriate outdoor clothing for the season, including rain gear (such as a Muddy Buddy or similar waterproof clothing), rain boots, and warm layers for colder weather. Having the right clothing allows children to enjoy outdoor play comfortably and fully, even on rainy or chilly days.
