5 Days a Week Option Full Fee: $4,725 (Tier Discount Available through Check-out) Trail Blazers' After School program offers holistic and innovative after-school programming to elementary and middle school students throughout New York City to promote critical thinking and a sense of wonder for the world around us. Our six core values guide all aspects of our program, ensuring that your child is growing and learning in the process of having an amazing time. Our Trail Blazers After School program is modeled after 130 years of experience designing exciting summer programs. During our after school, each day is filled with outdoor elements and a schedule determined by the interests of the group. A Typical Day: *Sunrise with each student, healthy snack, free play & goal setting. As students transition out of the school day into after school, our staff spends time checking in with each child. Guided by the Value Catcher, students determine a focus for the day. *Theme work including science experiments, demos, and hands-on projects. Each day includes one activity or experiment, guided by the week's theme or student interest. We focus on everyday science, making science a part of everyday life. *Outside time, group games, team building activities. We play – a lot! Playing during after school is an important component of social learning, physical health, and plain old fun! *Sunset: This is our reflection time with campers, We reflect on camp games, songs, and more! The day ends in the sunset circle, singing songs, playing games, and reflecting on the successes and challenges of the day. Learn More
