Come learn the basics of block printing! A type of relief printing, block printing is one of the earliest methods of printmaking. Prints are made by carving into wood, linoleum, or rubber blocks, which are then inked and printed onto paper or other surfaces. In this class, we will be using easy to carve rubber blocks and water-based inks to print on cards and paper. This year we be adding printing on cloth as an option. Course fee includes all materials but students are free to bring their own t-shirt or other small material project to ink if they prefer.
