The journey begins on campus as campers train to become EFS Wilderness Explorers! During the first two days (Monday–Tuesday), campers will learn essential outdoor survival skills, including fire-building, outdoor cooking, shelter construction, and navigation using a map and compass. From Wednesday through Friday, campers take their skills into the wild during a two-night camping adventure at Letchworth State Park—highlighted by an unforgettable white water rafting excursion on the second day of the trip. Campers will build confidence, independence, and teamwork while putting their skills to the test in a real wilderness setting. (Please note: there is no overnight stay at EFS prior to departure.)
