About This Activity
Camp Overview: Join us for a fun, hands-on introduction to wheel throwing—no experience needed! The goal is to enjoy learning a new skill while creating 5–10 finished pieces like cups, bowls, or small vases based on your style. All pieces will be food- and dishwasher-safe (we’ll let you know if any aren’t). Important Notes: Pottery is messy but washable—just avoid your favorite outfit! Long fingernails (past your fingertips) don’t mix well with clay, so please trim them before camp. Final pieces will be ready for pickup on Sunday—we’ll coordinate with students directly. Weekly Schedule: Monday – Clay prep & throwing Tuesday – Throwing & trimming Wednesday – Trimming & carving Thursday – Surface decoration & glazing Friday – Glazing & kiln loading Let’s get muddy and make something beautiful! ![]()
