The Brook Hill School will offer a hybrid Geometry course this summer taught by Mrs. Mitchell. The course will be divided into two semesters, with Semester 1 meeting during a 3-week session in June and Semester 2 during a 3-week session in July. Students will complete coursework online throughout the week using the school’s student learning platform and will attend in-person assessment days. Mrs. Mitchell will also maintain office hours during the week to provide additional support and instruction. Each semester awards .5 credits, and together the course fulfills the Geometry graduation requirement. June 1-19 (weeks 1-3): Geometry Basics, Logic, Parallel and Perpendicular Lines, Triangles Part 1 July 6-24 (weeks 4-6): Triangles Part 2, Polygons and Solids, Circles, Volume, Final Exam Students do not need to purchase a textbook. Mrs. Mitchell will provide a packet of guided note templates that will correspond with lessons on EdPuzzle. These will be available as early as the week prior to the course starting. Students will be expected to have a scientific calculator, preferably a TI 84 graphing calculator.
