Teen Ballet is all about refining classical technique, musicality, and discovering your unique artistry as a dancer. Each class begins at the barre, moving from alignment focused warm-ups from pliés, extensions in adagio, to powerful grand battements. Throughout the class, we incorporate TheraBands, light weights, blocks, and yoga mats for targeted conditioning. These cross-training exercises draw from yoga and Pilates to strengthen the smaller muscle groups that enhance balance, improve flexibility, and help prevent injury. In center, we develop progressions through turns and balances in preparation for pirouettes, fouettés, and other turns. We practice the use of precision and control from petite allegro to the expansive jumps of grand allegro.
