About This Activity
Leap, twirl, and fly with us! Students will be introduced to Ballet technique through play, music, and creative movement, while learning basic ballet vocabulary and positions for the feet and arms. Ballet teaches students about following directions, spatial awareness and taking turns, coordination, body awareness, flexibility, self-expression, self-confidence, rhythm, and musical counting. Attire: Ballet shoes are required for all Ballet classes. (We have gently worn ballet shoes for sale, sizes vary). We do not allow students to dance barefoot. If your child attends the BFUMC Nursery School, children will not have time to change clothes before class. Students may bring a tut or skirt to put on over school clothes. Students coming from outside may wear ballet attire to class.
