The Junior Counselor Leadership Program seeks to provide older youth with opportunities to develop important professional and life skills. Junior Counselors will have to demonstrate leadership, responsibility and maturity. Junior Counselor's assist in leading groups in their daily adventures, setting up for activities, and other tasks as assigned. There will be a one day training prior to camp to familiarize junior counselors with the camp location, learn about their duties, and get to know fellow junior counselors and supervising adult counselors. Camp Information: This 4-day summer day camp includes a campout on Wednesday night, and runs from 9 AM-3 PM, with before and after-care available. Junior counselors are asked to arrive by 8:30 AM and stay until 3:30 PM each day, to help set -up, clean-up, and discuss daily happenings. The week's theme is "Journey Through Time," highlighting the natural and cultural history of the local area. Each day, campers will have the chance to explore nature, participate in hands-on learning activities, create crafts, play team-building games, and swim in the pool.
